Bio, Resume, Contact                                         ../information about me

There are two real reasons why I make art, and both are hard to put into words. First, I simply love making and as far back as I can trace art has been the single most consistent force in my life that makes me feel alive and part of something greater. I enjoy the medium and the act of making; of working with the medium, of understanding it to a greater degree than yesterday in hopes of making something more beautiful or significant.

The second reason why I make art is to have more meaningful interactions with others. Throughout my work I try to establish moments or events that require me and viewer to both simultaneously participate in the experience – or place – of art. I ask the viewer to consider the place where we truly are; to consider the yin-yang aspects of being human. By asking the viewer to question their own understanding of reality, perception and place I hope to establish a conversation with the viewer in hopes that I too come to a deeper understanding of what it means to me to be human.
