Peering far beyond the familiar world of day to day life, there are places and events of otherworldly wonder that continually shape the forces which make life possible and death inevitable. Upon the fabric we call time, the super-macroscopic entwines with the ultra-microscopic in a choreographed cyclical movement that spans across all known space.
Observing these universal occurrences requires looking through the lenses of telescopes and microscopes or, oftentimes, delving into the complex abstractions of theoretical physics when extreme distance or size makes visual comprehension impossible. Because of this, the body of knowledge in this conceptual arena is manifested through numbers and symbols. This series of work arose from readings in theoretical physics where very little to no visual documentation exists, generally only formulas and written explanations by physicists.
Always fascinated by how nature works, by what lies hidden - the invisible within the visible - these images are my visions of what we presently can not see. The artwork is inspired by theories of relativity and quantum mechanics and hypothesizes, through a visual metaphor, what these currently, visually intangible worlds might look like. Through paintings and photographs, each piece portrays a dynamic world that exists just beyond our sight illustrating the interaction between particles both great and small.
